Every Big Business Started From Zero.
That’s not just our tagline. That’s the truth behind every company you admire today.
Flipkart started in a bedroom. Zomato started with a PDF menu. Zepto started in a college dorm. And bizfromzero — started in a small town in Odisha, with nothing but a smartphone and a burning curiosity about how business actually works.
This is our story.
Who We Are
bizfromzero is an Indian business storytelling platform built for the curious, the ambitious and the ones who are just getting started.
We cover real startup stories, founder journeys, business concepts and failures — told simply, honestly and without jargon.
No complicated textbook language. No MBA theories. Just real stories, real numbers and real lessons that anyone can understand and apply.
We believe that business education should not be locked behind expensive degrees or elite institutions. It should be accessible to every young Indian — whether you are from Mumbai or from a small town in Odisha.
That is exactly why bizfromzero exists.
The Story Behind bizfromzero
My name is Satyajit Srichandan. I am 22 years old and I am from Jatni — a small town in Odisha that most people have never heard of.
I recently finished my bachelor’s degree. No IIT. No IIM. No fancy college on my resume.
Growing up, I was always curious about one thing — how do these big companies actually work? How did a guy selling books from his bedroom build a $16 Billion company? How did a food delivery startup become a $12 Billion giant? How do founders go from zero to billion?
I searched everywhere for answers. YouTube had pieces of the story. News articles were too complicated. Business books were too theoretical. Nobody was telling these stories in a simple, honest and engaging way that someone like me — from a small town, with no business background — could actually understand and relate to.
So I decided to do it myself.
I started researching. Reading. Watching. Learning everything I could about Indian startups, founders and business models. And slowly I realized — these stories are not just interesting. They are powerful. They are full of lessons that every young Indian needs to hear.
That realization became bizfromzero.
Why We Built This
India is full of young people who are curious about business. Students who want to start something. Freshers who want to understand how the world works. Small town kids who have big dreams but no guidance.
But most business content in India is either — too complicated, too theoretical, too English-heavy or simply too boring.
Nobody was making business education simple, engaging and relatable for the average young Indian.
We saw that gap. And we decided to fill it.
bizfromzero is built on one simple belief —
If you tell a story well enough, anyone can learn from it.
Every article, every reel, every piece of content we create is designed to do one thing — take a complex business story and make it so simple that a college student from a small town can read it, understand it and walk away with something valuable.
What We Cover
bizfromzero is organized around four core categories — each one serving a specific purpose in your business education journey.
Startups
This is where we break down how India’s biggest companies were built from scratch. From Flipkart to Zomato to Zepto — we cover the full journey. How they started, how they grew, how they scaled and what made them different. Every startup story is told with real numbers, real timelines and real lessons.
If you want to understand how a business goes from an idea to a billion dollar company — start here.
Founders
Behind every great company is a human being who took a risk nobody else would take. This section is about those people. Their backgrounds, their struggles, their decisions and their mindset.
We go beyond the highlight reel. We talk about the moments of self doubt, the near failures, the pivots and the sacrifices. Because the real lessons are not in the success — they are in the journey.
Business 101
Not everyone starts with business knowledge. This section is for absolute beginners who want to understand core business concepts in the simplest way possible.
What is a business model? How do startups raise funding? What is product market fit? What is unit economics? We answer all of these questions — with real Indian startup examples, not textbook definitions.
If you are new to business — this is your starting point.
Failures
This is arguably the most important section on bizfromzero.
Because failure is where the real education lives.
We cover companies that crashed, startups that burned through millions and businesses that made fatal mistakes. Byju’s. Dunzo. Paytm. And many more.
We do not cover these stories to judge. We cover them to learn. Because understanding why something failed is just as valuable — if not more valuable — than understanding why something succeeded.
How We Work
Every piece of content on bizfromzero goes through a simple but strict process —
First we research. We dig deep into the real story — the founding, the funding, the growth, the challenges and the current status. We look at real data, real numbers and real timelines.
Then we simplify. We take everything we have learned and strip away the complexity. No jargon. No complicated theories. Just the core story told in the clearest way possible.
Then we tell the story. Every article is written like a conversation — not a lecture. We want you to feel like a friend is sitting across from you and explaining how this business actually works.
Finally we find the lesson. Every story has something to teach. We make sure that lesson is clear, practical and something you can actually use.
Our Mission
Make business knowledge accessible to every young Indian — no matter where they come from.
We do not care if you are from Delhi or from Jatni. We do not care if you went to IIT or to a local college. We do not care if you have zero business background.
If you are curious — you belong here.
Business education has been gatekept for too long by expensive degrees, elite networks and complicated language. bizfromzero is our answer to that problem.
Simple. Honest. Accessible. For everyone.
Our Vision
We are just getting started.
Right now we cover Indian startups and founders. But our vision is bigger. We want bizfromzero to become the go-to platform for business storytelling — not just in India but globally.
Every big business in the world has a story worth telling. And we plan to tell all of them — one story at a time.
A Note From Satyajit
If you are reading this from a small town — I see you.
If you feel like business is not for people like you — I felt that too.
If you have big dreams but no roadmap — that is exactly why I built this.
I am not an expert. I am not a successful entrepreneur. I am just someone who is figuring it out — one startup story at a time — and sharing everything I learn along the way.
bizfromzero is not just a website. It is a journey. And I am glad you are here.
Let’s learn together. Let’s grow together. Let’s build something — from zero.
